Sixteen years of production software, the last eight as an architect and CTO. I lead from the code: I make the architecture calls, write the critical parts myself and build the factory that lets a team ship the rest fast and safely.

  1. Chief Software Engineer

    since 2026

    Defense-tech companyKyiv, details under NDA

    • Main developer and architect of the company’s platform, built from scratch: Go services on Kubernetes, NATS JetStream, PostgreSQL.
    • Real-time video and data over WebRTC, with NATS as the signaling plane.
    • Designed multi-tenancy, device provisioning (architecture and process) and the factory process that takes every deployment from template to production the same way.

  2. Creator of Tequila Platform, founder

    since 2024

    Phainon LLCKyiv, founded 2026

    • Tequila Platform: a Kubernetes-native backend platform and PaaS for B2B, B2C and IoT products. 100+ repositories; in production on AWS EKS for Tequila and its first tenant.
    • Event-sourced DDD services on NATS JetStream and MongoDB, an OIDC provider, a tamper-evident audit trail anchored in Bitcoin, GDPR erasure by crypto-shredding.
    • Wrote its foundations myself: a NATS client for PHP, a MongoDB ODM, Kubernetes manifests as PHP classes, a Kubernetes operator in Go.
    • The PaaS: tenant console, package and container registries, site hosting (this page runs on it), Flux GitOps, OpenTofu on AWS, one CLI.

  3. Software Architect, then AI Engineer

    2019–2026

    Finsight Group Inc.New York fintech, Kyiv office

    • AI team, 2024–2026: brought agentic coding workflows into engineering across the company and mentored developers in them; AI automation of financial-document pipelines.
    • DevOps team’s architect, 2019–2024: built the company’s Kubernetes manifests framework in PHP, which replaced a tangled Helm setup and moved manifests from SREs to dozens of developers. Open-sourced (MIT), now Tequila’s klass8s.
    • Production-like dev environments on Kubernetes, dynamic QA environments, CI/CD, infrastructure as code; led the move from SOA to independently deployed services.

  4. R&D Project CTO, Lead Backend Developer

    2018–2019

    • Took two mobile products (iOS, Android) from idea to market: architecture, backend, AWS and Kubernetes, CI/CD.
    • Owned roadmap, budget and hiring with the CEO; trained my successor before leaving.

  5. Core Team Lead, Senior PHP Developer

    2015–2017

    • Led the rebuild of an iGaming platform’s core into a multi-tenant one: new products became tenants of one core, cutting the cost and time of each launch.
    • Led five senior engineers, mentored a 15-developer integration team.

  6. PHP Developer to Senior

    2010–2015

    Mobisoft, Slobber, Gorilla Group, UkrAvto, IdWeb

    • Mobile APIs at 60 million requests a day (PHP, MongoDB, RabbitMQ); lead developer of a marketplace startup; a CRM with a browser call centre on Asterisk.
